Electronic Arts Latest NERF Game Bundle Blasts into New Levels of Action

The EA Play Label of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced that it will ship NERF “N-Strike” Double Blast Bundle, a compilation of its top-selling NERF-branded shooter games for the Wii™, along with a NERF blaster and decoder lens this October based on the popular brand from Hasbro, Inc. The high-action bundle will include two complete video games – NERF “N-Strike” EA’s No. 1 Wii title in 2009 and NERF “N-Strike” Elite, the popular sequel. Adding even more bang for the buck, NERF “N-Strike” Double Blast Bundle will also ship with a custom SWITCH SHOT EX-3 blaster and attachable Red Reveal decoder lens allowing players to embark on a variety of missions while putting their NERF mettle to the test.

Experience pro tournament fishing action like never before!

Activision, Inc. and Rapala, the world’s leading fishing brand, announced today that Rapala Pro Bass Fishing is coming this Fall to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment systems, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, the Wii(TM), and Nintendo DS(TM). Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 system versions are available with first of a kind wireless Rapala Rod & Reel controllers and an all new Rapala Rod & Reel peripheral is available for Wii(TM). Featuring full motion controls, players will be able to cast, reel, jig, set the hook and more as if they had an actual fishing rod in their hands.

Rapala Pro Bass Fishing pits players against real-life fishing pros on top freshwater lakes across North America – only the finest techniques and equipment will determine who is the best of the best. For the first time ever in a fishing game, the competition is set up in a professional tournament structure and the action is presented as a live TV event with announcers (including Barry Brueland, the voice of InFisherman TV), live updates, competitive leader boards, analysis, and heart-pounding final weigh-ins. SouthPeak Introduces Dementium II to Japan

Nintendo is hosting a kickoff event at Liberty State Park on July 16 to celebrate the first-ever nationwide Wii video game tournament. Participants will get off the couch and on their feet for a chance to win great prizes while having fun playing Nintendo’s motion-control video games together – whether they’re kids, adults, teens, seniors or families. Olympic gold medalist and Dancing with the Stars champion Shawn Johnson, the official Wii Games: Summer 2010 Ambassador, will make a special appearance to greet participants and fans.

Wii Games: Summer 2010 events will also offer fun activities for consumers and families who aren’t competing in tournament play. Disney Interactive Studios today announced the release of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice video game, inspired by the upcoming feature film “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, in theaters July 14, 2010. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice video game is now available in North American retail outlets exclusively for Nintendo DS™.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an action-packed arcade video game that casts players in the role of Dave, the powerful sorcerer’s apprentice. Legendary master sorcerer Balthazar is trapped in the magical realm, so it is up to players to save New York. Guided by Balthazar, players travel throughout New York and the magical realm using special portals in order to defeat the enemy. They must master the elements of sorcery using magical attacks and spells to defeat the six evil sorcerers and their army of minions in order to free Manhattan.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice video game allows fans to interact with the magical elements of the film,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. “The game provides a fun, challenging experience in which players can take on the role as the sorcerer’s apprentice and use their own hands to cast magical spells and attacks to defeat their enemies.”
