How We Test / Disclosure

Posted by Kristofer Brozio On November - 27 - 2009

So, here’s some information for you…

Everyone likes different things, we might love a game/product that you hate and you’ll disagree with us, that’s ok though, we’re allowed to disagree. Just because something gets a perfect score does not mean it’s a perfect game or product, it just means it’s done very well overall, and it meets or exceeds the expectations set by the publisher/creator/manufacturer.

Game Reviews:

For our games we are using an out of 10 scoring system.

Games will be rated on Graphics, Design/Story and Gameplay and will have an Overall average score as well.

Accessory Reviews:

We’ll also be doing accessory reviews, since we know the Wii has a lot of those.

They will be rated a bit differently though, but still the same out of 10 scoring system.

Accessories/Products will be rated on Aesthetic, Quality and Usability, with an Overall average score.

Disclosure:

As far as disclosure, many of the products we review are bought by us, but from time to time we’ll get some for review by companies. We don’t get paid by these companies to review their products, and the fact that they gave it to us for free has no bearing or influence on the opinion of the product.

At the bottom of each review you’ll see this as well:

This product was given to Wii Digest for review by the company for review purposes only, and is not considered by us as payment for the review, we do not, and never will, accept payment from companies to review their products. This product may have also been bought by us for review purposes and does not influence the review.
