“The Cars series has been around for about three years now, and it’s still alive and kicking and I have to say still doing very well in popularity.  You might think the movie has been milked of all the spin-offs you could get from it, but then something new comes along like what I have today for review, Cars Race O Rama for the Nintendo Wii. This game features a ton of content that will keep the little ones busy for a long time. Yes this is a game that is aimed at children, it’s Cars after all, and it features all of their favorite characters along with 15 new ones as well. If you’ve got kids who are Cars fans then I think they’ll truly enjoy this game and spend a lot of time playing it…”

World of Zoo Reviewed @ TestFreaks

Posted by Kristofer Brozio On January - 13 - 2010

I’ve got another Wii game review posted over at TestFreaks now. It’s World of Zoo and it’s just a great game for children.

Quote:PDVD_113

“Today for review I’ve got another game for the Nintendo Wii, and again it’s from THQ. The game is World of Zoo and it’s a game that is truly aimed at smaller children, it’s a game that fits into a category all by itself really. You might think it’s some Zoo Tycoon type game, but there you would be very mistaken, it’s nothing like it at all. This game is unique and it’s actually a lot of fun to play, it’s one that younger children will just love. In World of Zoo you not only have your own zoo, but you can even create your own customized animals and then play with, take care of them and even pet them. It’s an overly cute game yes, but that’s not a bad thing because it’s aimed at young children and World of Zoo is one of those games that is just perfectly made for children.

As a parent of young children I try not to expose them to violence in gaming and other media, with games I can pretty much control what they play. World of Zoo is pretty much the perfect game for small children. It’s bright and colorful, creative and fun and overall it’s a game that’s easy to play and it even will teach your children a few things about animals courtesy of National Geographic. So read on to learn more about a great kid game…”

Posted by Kristofer Brozio On December - 14 - 2009

Here’s a big list of games and accessories coming for the Nintendo Wii and DS:

Consumers nationwide continue to snap up Nintendo products for the holidays, and Nintendo is poised to carry that momentum into 2010. Dozens of games for the Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi systems are on the way in a wide range of categories from both Nintendo and its third-party partners.

To bring a little color to the winter months, Nintendo will release two new colors for its Wii Remote controller. Starting Feb. 14, the controller will come in Pink or Blue and will be bundled with a Wii MotionPlus accessory. Along with the current White and Black versions of the controller, now every player in four-player matches can have his or her own color.

“During the holidays, tens of millions of Americans are going to spend enjoyable hours with both Wii and Nintendo DS,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “And the enjoyment will only grow in the early weeks of 2010, whether your taste in gaming comes from exploring ocean depths, catching, training and battling Pokémon or even designing your own micro-games.”

Not Wii news, but Nintendo news!! Something new for your DS:

One of the year’s biggest adventures is fired up and heading down the tracks. Today’s launch of The zelda Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the hand-held Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi video game systems marks a fun new chapter in the historic franchise. For the first time, heroic Link teams with Princess Zelda, who accompanies him on an original quest to save Hyrule from ruin. This unforgettable saga has Link navigating perilous dungeons and commanding a customizable train. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks features challenging puzzles, wide-ranging exploration and a deep storyline.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks builds upon the dynamic touch-screen control interface established in 2007’s The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, making it easier for players to perform advanced maneuvers and guide Link through an engaging series of adventures and challenges. An active participant throughout the entire game, Princess Zelda can take control of powerful Phantom characters to help Link make his way through obstacle-filled dungeons. New items include the Whirlwind and the Spirit Flute, which allows players to perform music that has magical effects on objects and events in the game by blowing into the built-in microphone of the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi.
